I guess some SEs just suck. My dad's SE has NEVER EVER sent us any invites to ANYTHING at all, and we're already on our 2nd merc -_-"

Just came back from the event, there was nothing that you missed, IMHO, its a waste of time >:(

First session was a C-Class presentation by Marc. Frankly, you can read more from the car manual. Second session was the on-the-car demonstration by a few SEs. You will get the same demonstration when you walk into the showroom tomorrow.

Hiya, should have arranged to meet ysboey and turismo.

For those who who didnt get invited to this event like myself, can share with us in details, what kind of "on the car demonstration"?

Thanks!! :)

Got to know Turismo there during dinner. What a concidence to sit beside each other though we have not met before.

Food is good. Best thing is that they gave everyone $50 gift voucher (can be used for servicing or gift shop), so, literally this event is free!

No complaint. Not much technical details but at least you hear it first hand from the German expert! Finally understood what is the difference between the S & C mode. S mode starts in 1st gear (for more power during drive off) & C mode starts in 2nd gear (for more comfort drive). No significant difference in fuel consumption using either mode. Only the sports package C class has more features for the S mode.

Cheers

Nice chatting with ysboey and hubby. To me this session is quite useful especially the part where the Service Consultant show us about the different function of the car. But until now I still dun have a answer for the recommended PSI (Tire pressure) for my ride :banghead:

TaTegoi didn't know you were there. Where are you seated? should have intro meh, then we will a mini C-klass meetup last night..... :punk1:

You know I have the same problem. I vaguely recall my SE mentioning tire pressure to me when I took delivery. When I asked her if that was when the tire is cold or hot she said nobody asked her that before and left it at that .....

Mine's a C180K with stock 225/45 R17 ContiSportContact 3s and the tire info plate on the inner side of the petrol filler door is for 16" tires. I did a little research on the net and came to the conclusion that 31-32psi should be fine for me as I seldom carry a full passehger load.

My new C180 is not "ContiSportContact 3s". It is Dunlop!! how come is different??? Got my car less than 2 mths back.

These are what your salesperson would have shown you when you visited the showroom looking at the C-CLass. And during the delivery of your C-Class, your salesperson would also have demonstrated to you the features of your W204. There was not much new on the night IMHO.

Is ysboey the lady who participated actively during Q&A session? I was sitting at the first row on the left, I was the one who asked about why C&C uses Helix engine oil instead of the recommended Mobil 1.

As for the tire pressure, the fuel cap flap shows a range of recommended pressure, anything within the range should be ok, as long as you feel comfortable. Since there is no specific wheel size stated, I guess it applies across the sizes in W204 specs, ie. 16"-18".

This is true for me also - I tend to stop and admire the lines of my ride parked outside every now and then when I look out my shop window - a true beauty :love7:
