Some issues after driving W204 for 3 months

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Got my W204 - yr2009 in April. I have been surfing this forum for some time and got some really useful answers from bros here. Thank you all.

However, below are some of the issues I encountered so far but can't find any answers here. Hopefully some bros would be able to advise and share:

1) While my car is parked with a stopper behind, carrying 2 (heavy) or 3 passengers at the rear, either my car cannot move at all or it scratches the bottom bumper before moving off. No issue if there is no stopper behind when parked. I am figuring the car comes with lowered springs as it looks lower then usual. Presume changing back to Original Springs or adjusting the Springs higher would solve the problem. Any other possible causes?

2) On 1), After I have done a turn, I have a sensation like the car is floating/shaking. This sensation happens only after the turn is completed and car moves straight. Could it be suspension/absorber or wheel bearing, arm bush etc rosak?

3) Previous owner installed HID on the car. Went for inspection and failed with a note on the inspection report saying "To remove HID ballast completely". I can go to a workshop to do that but do I have to replace the whole headlight system or just remove the HID ballast and install back original halogen bulbs (cheaper option)?

4) At times, my instrument cluster would show a "Dipped Beam Right" error message and the right side lights will not work. This only happens once awhile and by restarting engine, error will be resolved. I hope by removing HID will solve the problem or guess I can live with it for now.

5) There is a bug inside my instrument cluster behind the glass/plastic. Not sure how it got in there. I read around forums and net and presume to remove the bug for my situation can be quite tricky. I can live with it also but appreciate if there are any good suggestions.

Other than that, I am loving the ride and hope to see you all soon if got the chance.

Cheers! :D

Hi

1) time to change suspension.

2) i think is floating feel is normal due to the suspension issue.

3) remove hid and reinstalled the wiring.

4) check the entire headlight wiring

5) bug? look for any audio ws

U brought from direct owner? U didnt send for vincom checks etc?
