Nitrogen Filling for tyres

Recommended Posts

First timer in using N2 gas tyres.

Thought its quite a hassle to have to go to CnC tyre shop to pump N2 which does not open 24hr vs petrol station 24hr air pump near house.

Q1)How many km mileage on average before the next top up?

Q2)Does CnC provide free N2 top up?

There are reasons why F1 & LeMan cars use nitrogen & its clearly beneficial....

1) It reduces tyre temp.... the higher the temp, the higher the pressure which affects the tyre performance.

2) It improves ride quality....same reason as above, higher tyre pressure equates harder ride.

3) keeps tyre pressure constant on all 4 tyres as it varies less with temp.

4) less loss of pressure rate....hence less frequent top ups.

5) less risk of corrosion to wheels as there's no water contamination. Not so critical for modern wheels which are well corrosion proof, but for the OEM steel wheels, its rust.

Most petrol kiosk tyre pumps are frequently contaminated with water, try releasing the air from your tyre after top up & u will see water.

I understand it's kind of overrated for the use of nitrogen.

But just wondering if C&C provides the service to pump up those tyres if we just drive past and drive in to fill up the tyre - FOC of course.

Hi bros, so lets say i convert to Nitrogen at CNC now. Means starting from converted i all the way need pump nitrogen? Cannot go petrol kiosk to mix?

CNC subsequent pump of nitrogen is free rite?

You can still pump at the petrol kiosk after that. It doesn't matter. Please remember that air is 78% nitrogen in the first place. For top up, you will be putting in some air, which again majority is nitrogen.

My only question is: Can we just drive into C&C to top up nitrogen (FOC) if we want? My tyres came with the car when I collected it and did my first rotation with them. Didn't ask much about this nitrogen conversion when I did the rotation.

If I am not wrong, your car must be serviced by CNC and they will top up for free. Else they will charge

Monday i just went for all 4 nitrogen, i jus drove in, no check and registration.. so i guess they wont check, jus drive in as long as under seeNsee ba. I also ask the guy they say is free for subsequent filling up of nitrogen. but not sure if not service under seeNsee, they will check anot prior to helping pump
