Question on aircon for E250

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just got my ride (5 yo E250 cgi) a few weeks back and new to this forum.

Having driven jap cars since day 1, I'm enjoying every moment of of it - from struggling to adjust the headrest....to my whole "swa ku" family going waaaaah...when the headlights auto shut after engine off haha.

Need some advise on the aircon. Having to drive thru city jams on most days to and from work, I'm used to running my aircon on internal circulation mode.

But for my current ride, I realised that the internal circulation mode auto goes off every 5 minutes or so. I know it when I smell smoke/fumes getting into my car. Both me and my Daughter have sensitive noses and it gets real uncomfortable when the fumes are quite thick.

Am I missing out on something? Can the aircon internal circulation mode be set as on indefinitely until I decide otherwise?

Sorry for this noob question. Thanks in advance.

Congrats and welcome to SGMerc!

It's normal, safety feature of Merc but it usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes for the inter circulation to deactivate.
