W211 car alarm

Hi all,

Need some advice from kakis here as I just bought an 08 E230 for my wifey.

Was driving the car in a car park and forgot to close one of the rear door, however, there was no warning sound or alarm activated. Did another check and was also surprised that car can be locked even if one of the door not close and also no alarm.

Went to a workshop to check and was told that the the car does not come with an alarm system.

Is this true?

Congrat to your purchase...and welcome to the forum.

 

Yes...it is true...

 

To my understanding , most C&C's model doesn't included the alarm system.

 

You can go back to C&C to install original alarm.

 

If you choose to install other brand alarm at hi-fi shop, be careful...not all alarm system work with the Merc immobiliser system.

In addition, just went to service my car today and there is a message saying to 'check engine oil level when next refueling '

Any advice on this too?

Open your bonnet.

 

Check your engine oil dipstick....maybe your workshop filled too much oil...when the sensor detected too much oil or too little oil...this warning will come out.

 

Can go back to workshop as them to fill correctly.
