Trailer Hitch and Rear Bike Rack for CLA

Not allow by LTA -  Tow hooks

Most vehicles are originally equipped with towing points for recovery purposes. Tow hooks are not allowed as they may aggravate injuries to motorcyclists should they come into contact with the sharp and hard surface of the tow hooks in the event of a collision.

But I have an Ang Mo neighbour who regularly tow a trailer with 2 dirt motorbikes on his Subaru Forester every weekend. He dismantles the tow hook when he's done towing....quite easy it seems.

Thanks kepiting1sg and jtang.

Yah I have been seeing quite a lot of cars with them installed... And from the description of the MB hitch and what I read of it online, it seems to be able to fold away when not in use? Anyone knows?

Like in the army!

You can do what you want but don't get caught :)

If I've to transport more than one bike, I would use a normal bike rack like Saris and hang an extra VRN plate on the bike.

Cheers
