done a few times.. let it auto all the way.. the engine brake is very strong when going downhill.. very good I would say.

did try to play around with manual when going uphill, but without paddle shifter... well, forget it.. let the auto transmission do its job :)

There are tons of W204 in our market, I'm assuming there is a fare share of owners who have driven up to Genting and beyond. There are even worse and older cars making the trip up.

You can drive the car in automatic, the drive up and down Genting isn't tough for any modern cars. Just like driving on any other road, if you you have paddle shifters, you can play a bit with the manual gears but do drive with care as it'll take more concentration. If you're using the stick shift to change gears, than IMHO just leave it in automatic and drive like how you drive normally.

Yes, double confirm!! up and down hikl in auto mode. Dont bother with the manual or paddle shift mode. Engage in auto then brake & pedal, brake and pedal. Beware of the turn if u plan do the F&F else enjoy the drive.
