Injector block

Just thought of sharing this information on my 2013 w204.

I went on a 10 days trip and back to drive the car. CEL light went on so send for full body check up. ECG test say fuel is too lean. But found no leakage. They did a opt to open up its chest and found out that the injector is block!

Advice is rev more and drive it more often.

Have they told u the reason for the injector to get blocked?

Imo quite unusual for a 2 year old to get this ailment..

Since I started working in Johor, I've been pumping Ron97 in bolehland.

FL W204 - drove 30k km and based on 8L/100km = about 2400 Litres - No issue till I sold the car.

PFL W212 - drove 45k km and based on 9.5L/100km = about 4275 Litres - Car mileage not 107k km - Touch wood no issue so far.

 

All in all over the last 3 years since working here, I drove 75k km and pumped about a total of 6675 litres.......ahem $$$$!

Ya,me was disappointed with such problem on the car too for its age. But they say could be due to my car not being drove for almost 2 weeks and residue start to harden and block it as mercedes injector is very small and precise. They showed me the injector when they dismantle it. Really looks dirty. But still it's hard to believe such problem after just not driving it for this short period.

No, I have never pumped in Malaysia. even during my trip to KL, I manage to go up and down in 1 single tank. Im usually very light on my foot, maybe this is why it block. Like they say, need more exercise

FYI I use esso 8000 locally. Shld I change?
