Change Car Key Battery message persist despite new battery

Dash board prompted to change battery for key fob. However, after changing new key fob battery, message still persist. Took out the new battery and replace to another key fob. But There's no error message.

 

Anyone has any idea why? need to reset or something? Thanks for sharing.

Had the same problem with my old jap ride. The technician claims that not all battery gives enough voltage for the car to detect. Try replacing the same brand of battery. I think merc uses Panasonic?

Or energizer should be good.
