Anyone into radio control cars or helicopter?

I have been checking out the helo recently and find them challenging.....just want to satisfy my "I want to be a pilot" dream la.

You shld start off with the helo simulator on PC first.

Then consider one of those HK based honeybee heli. Until ur thumbs are good then progress further.

I am stuck at the thumbs part haha... Flying is easy, hovering is a different story altogether.

RC Cars - Welcome to the ultimate poison... Touring cars. As close to the real car as you can get.

Has kept my hands off it for a while. The funding to keep ahead has dried up so now causal driver. But then no kick without for a race...

I checked out the 2 tracks (a paved track and dirt track) in Turf City and watched a touring car race in Mellinium Walk yeterday. Cars are fun and there is a rage for drift cars too. There is this tank from VS Tank that can even shoot infra red ray so that you can play battle with each other. Every hit slows down the tank until it eventually cannot move.

Will be checking more on the helo.

haha... Do you someone actually created a drift movie clip of the RC touring cars ? Power man.. they mounted the cam on another RC car & record the video while running behind the drift cars. This was done at the height of Initial D.

For RC electric Touring cars, the defacto track is at Queenstown Club. The one behind Queenstown library.

Tanks & trucks: Maybe I should show you all the tamiya video clips. I think you can find them on Tamiya USA.

Man Jenvid my last tryst with RC was FRIKKIN AGES AGO!!!! Let's see now er.. I never ventured beyond 7.2/8.4v 1/10 scale models. Mmm.. I think I had a Kyosho mid Optima, Salute, Yokomo Bobcat.... mmm... Sanwa stick and Futaba gun ctrller.. Option House suspension kit! Everyone was talking about The Serpent then. Vaguely remember something about a modified Trinity motor... that's about it.. oh yeah and Tamiya had really cool cars then - Grasshopper, Hornet, BigFoot..

You are right about this poison getting worse. Have been making the rounds to the stores and checking out the prices, it's a no ending upgrade and mod. Ok, lets get the heli fixed and earn my wings to fly. Will decide in a few weeks...... :swduel:
