Lane assist, nice. This would be extremely helpful in unfamiliar places, know exactly which lane to keep to.

I like the 3D buildings .. nice

I went through the site. Here are some key features.

1. A2DP Bluetooth capability. Dialing directly on the Nuvi is now possible. So no need to put the phone on the windscreen holder anymore.

2. MSN Direct. Not sure exactly how it can be connected to stream this. Basically it's like Vista, where a sidebar-type interface to show you traffic update, stock news, even plan trips on the computer. I think the trip planner is only good for long trips, e.g. going all the way up to Ipoh. However, MSN Direct is only available in North America at this point. None of the "green dots" seems to be on other places on earth.

3. 3D map seems to be only for North America and Europe (called City Navigator NT 2009). You still can get all other maps, including Southeast Asia, but I think it's only the same one as what's being sold now (called City Navigator NT). POI input should be the same method. Can further enhance with SD card info from Garmin showing detailed city information ($).

4. Saved routes. Like waypoints, but I think the idea is you select multiple destinations, and the software calculates an efficient route. When you shift the destination up and down the order, it recalculates. Also when you're lost, you can activate the track log to see if you have passed the route before or not. Up to 10,000 track marks.

5. Others. Can use FM transmitter to let your car stereo give you the voice directions, and this sound is seemly integrated with voice calls and audio. I think this is already a feature in 750.

So looks like if you can afford USD$699, and you want a good GPS solution that comes with bluetooth, once the SGP 3D map is out, this is definately a good product.

Hi guys,

does anyone know how to save a route on the gps nuvi 760? I can't seem to figure it out.

What I mean by saving a route is to have a starting point without a destination point and be able to save the travelled route only upon reaching the destination point.

The gps should be able to do this right?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think the Garmin can save the travelled route, then again, I may be wrong.

I used to run the AGIS Navigator GPS on my PDA and this Agis can save the route travelled so that you can see where have you been moving - it drew the road on the map. This is good for roads that are not in the map, especially the small ones in Malaysia.

The 7 series (not bmw) automatically records your track while you are on the move. You will need to convert the track to route using Mapsource.

You cant do it directly using the GPS because the route engine may generate a different path & you will need to use POIs to have your route be the way you wanted it.

B road tracking ? haha...

Garmin GPSMap60Csx will be good for tracking - beside your B- roads all your visits

to all the durian plantation will be tracked and will appear on your map too.

Price has came down - got myself 1 recently for about $500 from Perfect Watch. ;D

Exactly what I was hoping the 7 series garmin would do. I was told it can be done, but just can't figure it out. :-[
