I will probably get this Krups, for my americano. A lazy man machine.

Have been eyeing it for the longest time.....

Suggest u pop down to Taka Nespresso Boutique enjoy the free kopi sampling before eyeing on the Krupps. The Krupps costs $999 without the milk/froth attachment.

I nearly carried the Nespresso machine like what 9339 posted from London in 2006 when it wasn't launch in Singapore yet. This Nespresso machine looks cool.

Tried the nespresso in Merc Center before, a bit too much coffee for me. Anyway, I only take kopi-O.....a coffee bean machine is ok liao. Will certainly try the nespresso in Taka first before making decision. :swduel:

This is what i have, my new toy.... :iconsalut: Jenvid.

Haiz... i said got to be shsssh liao...

Anyway affrogato is really nice with Volluto, capriccio, and livanto are just nice not too strong.

9339: Sorry the lungo ala Vivalto is actually for long and not latte. Latte is more milk with expresso shots.

You will need arpeggio or roma for your latte. I find Ristretto should only drink expresso way.

All the affrogato is making me really fat..haiz gotta cut down on my other intake liao....

Guys, next session we have is Nespresso vs manual machine. I think it'll be interesting to pitch the automated machines vs manual. I'll get some beans and pre-roast them b4 bringing the machine over to whoever's place. Then we try side by side. Kekeke

Wow - kopi talk!

I've been a kopi kia for the past 1.5 years so I get to play with the ECM machine in my cafe every day. I try to restrict myself to 1 cup every day - else will have caffeine overdose and also get fat on the milk. But I do enjoy making drinks for customers and get a thrill out of improving my coffee brewing and milk foaming over time. Of course I don't think my skills are that good yet - lots more to learn about coffee. It's good to know there are so many of you bean lovers out there!

My favourite espresso concoction is definitely the affogato - I just love the contrasting colour and taste between the coffee and vanilla gelato - it's almost heavenly!

Here are a couple of sites you might like to visit:

Have fun with your machines and drinks! ;D

Ok all you kopi kia. There is a local google group called [email protected]

They meet every once in awhile & usually place collective orders for beans etc. I haven't been attending regularly, just so happens one of my friends is an active kopi lover.

Be warned they are crazy over machines, beans, hoppers/grinders, temperature mods etc and will go to great lengths to get that perfect shot of espresso. That means tamp pressure, freshness and duration of roast etc. I suspect Nightfly will love it.

Last count there were a couple of folks using Rancilo Silvias, an Anita Quickmill. I myself = half noob. Currently using a La Cimbali Domus Classic with a Saeco grinder that was given by a family friend. My old Gaggia grinder is sitting up in the shelves somewhere!

Nightfly - ECM swee leh. :P

I think ah, must really arrange for this nespresso and maual coffee thingy to really see which one each of us prefer.

i personally have not tried the nespresso thing but it really sounds very interesting that everything is just a shot away..

Have definitely tried manul espresso but never as cheem as brudder leon until roast own kopi kind..

Sgmerc recently had a wine apreaciation event, i think we should have a kopi apreaciation soon..

Dunno what kind of apreaciation event will we think of next ^-^ ^-^
