Can someone advise how much to repair a Merc C200 car suspension system ? I was told need to replace quite a lot of parts can advise what are the parts because I wanna check price 1st before going to the service centre. Or can someone recommend me a centre which you have change your suspension system before and advise the cost. Thanks so much !

Hi bro, i am not sure if you meant absorbers. It should cost between 1 k and 1.5 k for changing to a bilstein b4 absorbers. Springs need not change.

Anyone has same problem ? Can advise what are the list of items need to be changed so that I can check on costing 1st.

Hi Alison, I think the 3 main parts are the arms, linkage and the absorbers which affects the suspension. You may want to check with your mechanic on what is necessary to be replace first. Price wise, like what Decruzyong has mentioned it will be more or less about there with site sponsor.

btw what is a bilstein ? I check with supplier they said is OEM of absorber is that right ?

Anyone tried going MBM to change the Suspension system and what is their labour cost like ?

yeah bilstien is the OEM for merc absorber. Not too sure about MBM but did mine at Technic auto just above MBM sin ming. You may look for BEng hwa if I remember his name correctly. He will then advice you on what is necessary to be changed. Otherwise you can purchase the parts from stockist and get your own workshop to get it fitted for you but with a labour charge

Update for my Car suspension repair. I bought a list of items like absorber, linkage, bearing etc all required for 100K change cost total about S$1.7K from Goldenlink and proceed to Wheel Auto at Enterprise Hub #04 for the change of the parts.The boss Louis charge me S$160 for the labour and S$50 for alignment which I find is very reasonable. I called a few recommended and find his quote very reasonable. The boss very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.He even advise me what other items need to be service and told me to buy direct from Goldenlink and he will just charge me the labour. Thanks everyone for your help. Finally complete with my sourcing and repair work.   This forum very helpful and I gain more knowledge after reading.
