Reverse camera

Wonder who have a cheap and good recommendation to fix up a reverse camera for W204?

C&C do have the cute little display on top of the windscreen beside the rear mirror but the price for it is close $600. Nice and neat but crazy pricing.

Who have lobang for the aftermarket type. Please advise.

I have that reverse cam from c&c on my ride and its quite good. It engages once u engage reverse gear. Although the cam is small (and unobstrusive) its big enough for viewing.

I buy from eBay b4 on another ride .. cheap cheap and any good installer can help install. Its just an rca input, how difficult can that be?

CCD are so cheap now .. even 100 bucks is a reap off imo!

Bro .. The car don't have but your HU/display must have else where to plug the video signal out from the reverse cam ?

Wat I am saying is there are lots of after market options available ... 600+ for a RC ? Got money aso dun like that squander lah .. yau xiu de

My previous japanese car i can hook up to my 2 Din player anytime.

Seem conti is a headache for audio and RC.

You can check with tomo. Think they install the reverse cam for merc

Tks ginger that makes sense now.  I was wondering y they dont use the onboard screen n fit in a small camera instead. lol.

Yes, for Merc you'll need to hook up a Video Interface before you can add additional video-in to the HU display. IMHO, it's a much neater option compared to the additional screen, never did like it. Plus audio workshops can do up the whole system at a far more reasonable price compared to C&C.

Yes ... conti not an issue. Had conti for more than a decade, different makes and models. Merc not bad liao as so many on the road.

Wat I really mean to share is . With research and advise u no need be carrot let AD chop.

It is quite easy to install rear view cameras for W204..

in fact I did mine myself.

Based on youtube tutorials and other forums.

I install 2 cameras ( ;D )

1 for rear view

1 for bumper view

I use additional monitor which I hooked up at the rearview mirror. The rearview mirror got 2 lcds. ( video1 and video2 )

The cables can be hidden easily.

I have an additional camera installed on the front bumper too. Really helps in tight spaces.
