w204 cannot start....siao liao

Drove my 08 w204 kompressor out. Parked in a multi storey cp. Went back to my car a few hours later. Unlocked car with remote. Insert in key and turned. Alamak. Cannot start. No cranking sound. Not even a click. Aircon no lights. Radio also no lights. Just speedometer there have lights indicating mileage. Battery man arrived. Checked and say battery working good. Suggested to me that my key sensor maybe spoilt. I immediately went back and took spare key and tried again. But still cannot start. Towed away liao. Now workshop say cannot find out the fault yet....super turn off already. Any bros have similar problems before?

Sounds like green key issue.

Encountered it before. Green key issue. Got it towed to C&C. Damage: $1100+++. Lapse period: 2-3days.

Sorry to hear that. I have same issue in Jan 2015 and CnC charge me $1450 two days down time.

 what i encountered was before 2010 so far didn't receive any complain with facelift model.

Oh.. Mine is the 2011 pre facelift... Not sure if it is still affected by the green key or not..

1600 is dirt cheap for the fix, i paid 3k+ a few years ago

My FL kompressor also just got this problem last week, steering lock malfunction. 2 days downtime for replacement and is working fine now.

Not sure if it should be proactively replaced.. It would really sucks if it decided to break down somewhere in Malaysia..
