Steering issue, new C Class

Recommended Posts

Mine is w205, 4mths old, I realise recently my steering becomes more stiffen

I mean the electric power steering is still working, but just need a lot more strength unlike previously to turn

W205 has agility select of comfort sports sport plus , individual and Eco mode

The steering response suppose to be slightly different in each mode

But now mine is like "stuck" to be on sports mode. All the time

Anyone can help? Can I do a reset.

check your Tyre pressure , if the pressure not enough it could cause the steering to feel heavy

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

My tyre pressure is 235kpa, but behind the oil pump cap is 250kpa lah, I felt it was a bit high, anyway I will try to pump until 250kpa

I swear when I first collected the car there was a significant difference in steering between comfort and sport/sport plus mode though

Pump to 250kpa, mine one ever dropped to 225kpa and the steering is heavier, pump it back to 250kpa then better already. Alert light came out at 225kpa.

thanks all for the suggestion, i have pumped to 250Kpa, the steering is slightly lighter but i realy cant feel the
steering weight difference between Eco/Comfort against Sport/Sport + anymore
infact to test, i went into I mode to toggle between sport and comfort steering still the same
Haiz, dunno what happened

also, please see my photo attached, i realise my speedo abit off centred, no wonder the digital display and analog speed when i drive always not sym
i often see 85Km on digital and the analog display show 80km

Lastly, i can feel beside a slight wind noise coming from my driver window at 80Km/hr and above
now on the same side, when i go over uneven grounds i can see tick tick irritating sounds, seems like something in the door loose, a door clip of something...

So dissappointed after 4 mths driving the new C Class

Ask CnC to do the recalibration for you in regards of your speedometer , as for the sound get them to check it out for you too

yah man, damn suay,

anyway, I was told the noise I hear from the driver side window is because I always parked in the sun during day time and the rubber hardened

WOW....you buy that? My car has been in the sun for years yet botaiji....please bang table....they will have to change it for you....please don't accept this kind of "reason"....

Spoon feeding teaches you nothing....but the shape of the spoon...

Change your settings in agility select individual to confort in steering and motor and try your confort mode and the others after. Individual choses afect all the caracter even when not in use. Comment please after a test.
