Objective comparo: c180, Audi a4

I got a buddy driving A6, he topped 1 liter of engine oil every 1k km and PA told him is normal. I told him it's not normal to consume 15litres of oil in between service.

It's a known problem and the engine oil consumption varies from car to car.

Some PA even went to the extent of changing piston rings!

Continental cars and Japs cars like we all know - most of us don't even check our oil level till we send our car for servicing.

So I am not exaggerating when I said I bought a 5L bottle of engine oil just for topping up & a physical oil dip stick to check the oil level. Believe forthis case fly by sight than by instrument.....hehehehe! :)

Cheers

I'm a MB Whore! :)

i too had the same choices as TS. WAs looking at a pre-loved W204 C180K, C200 CGI, A4 1.8T and F30 320i.

1) didnt like the F30 cause of the look as it looks generic (dont flame...personal opinion)

2) A4 checked with multiple car enthusiast, friends, mechanics, and they said for pre-loved cars, the Audi is most expensive in terms # of things breakdown / maintenance > BMW > MB.

3) Not really into modding, so MB ecu not being able to mod didnt bother me

4) Test drived..... most important, after test drived 180K and A4 and F30 then last tried the C200 CGI, and didnt look back.

Most important you should test drive all bro. A lot of dealers dont let u test drive but u should find a way, friends car, uncle, etc.

Just joined this forum as you can see but loving the my new old drive.... ;) C200 CGI. Smooth and torquey enough for me.
