Knocking sound when going over uneven road/bumps/mini humps..

Just an update..

 

Brought my car down to CnC this afternoon to get the issues checked out..

 

SA drove the car had knocking sounds when braking and going over uneven roads..When the mechanic drove the car with me n the SA there were no more sounds..The mechanic went too fast over the hump that the underside of my car hit real hard(i've never hit a hump before so if anything is damaged, CnC will answer)..i wonder if they know how to drive or if they're properly trained..

 

As for the engine airbox area shaking the SA said its a very new engine and they do not know what is causing it as they also have not much experience with the 274.910 engines...wth?

 

Also when the car is at idle and i turn on my AC there is a noticable amount of vibration in the cabin and steering wheel as well as the pedals..SA said will get it checked..

 

Also have to change my driver side mirror as it vibrates alot..

 

Driver side wiper chatters alot and the mechanic said it must be re-aligned..

It's always the case, when the european guy who thorough check thru my car during the service clinic appt, he couldn't detect any knocking sound & even went with me for several parking test to detect the knock sound! Immediately after I drove home, guess what, the sound came back again during parking! Guess I'll live with it til it get worse or make noise again during the next service...sigh

Same here..funny part was when the SA told me when you open up the engine its actually vibrating..i just kept quiet and did not want him to look stupid..

 

It's not supposed to vibrate till it falls apart...haha

I think some of the sound we have to live with...I recently sent to CNC also for the knocking sound....the SA told me how come so many come with the same issue...

My ride was there for 2 daze.....told me all fixed...but 2 days later all back to "normal"....sound continued

Heng I did not pay $$....hahahahaha...

so I will live with it.....a friend in Germany say that his W204 also got the same problem......sigh.....not sure if its the model...

Suppose your steering wheel also vibrate?Probably mounting issue?

just send in for 45k servicing.. feedback to SA about the knocking sound undercarriage whenever i try to park vehicle.

eg. car stationary, turn steering and reverse into lot, sure to hear a 'tok' or 'kok' sound undercarriage.

 

SA straightaway identified what needs to be changed.. something called hydraulic mount that belongs to the steering or suspension component.

 

now reverse parking when turning steering wheel no more sound.. abit not used to it even after a few days

just sent mine in to a site sponsor, quoted 2 engine mounts and 1 transmission mount plus labor is about 7xx...

I have a struct bar install will it also cause the knocking sound? Or it's due to the parts mention?
