waaaa like that even change door pin also need declare? actually most of us here never declare , the only unclaimable part is when u do OD , usually we claim 3rd party...

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

From what I found out..

Most require declaration, and tally with the approved mod list mentioned on LTA webbie. Approved ones are like example rim upsize according to manufacturer specs.

Those not listed or mentioned are likely considered not approved.

So.. we declare, then let insurance company decide if they are okay with it. Cosmetic and Door pins imo should be ok, though they may not be claimable cos they will restore to stock.

The main concern is the ones more cheem.. like ecu piggyback or throttle devices the agent won't understand and probably won't bother to find out if the mods are harmless.

So, keeping quiet may render the policy void if the need to claim, declare may result in the insurance companies walking away from insuring us in the first place.

What u guys usually do.. keep quiet about it?

Wow, if that's the case then changed rim must also be declared..... tyres too?

Rim go with the tyre la.. so we upsize by right should declare, though they only restore back to stock, unless u request to insure that as well.

Afraid some may play punk and say didn't declare and render the whole policy void when the need arise to claim..

I have been reading policy tnc for the past couple of days until blur already... some do state must declare else void..
