Hi,

is it wise to change the colour of the car from dark colour to Silver? will there be any negative impact such as malfunctioning of the electronic part of the door when removing the doors for spraying and etc?

All your advice will be greatly appreciated......

Thanks in advance>>>>>>:)

Don't think I've heard of electronic problems when respraying the car… Don't worry, I guess.

Agree, I'll go for wrapping too. Downtime is much shorter and the effects are reversible.

when removing the wrap you might peel your original paint off together. therefore is not a sure safe method..
before wrapping they will also patty your dents or any uneven surface so after u wrap it will look smooth from the outside..

best is to wrap after collecting your car from day 1. original factory paint and lacquer has lower chance that you will peel it out together with the wrap.

some car owner taught me that and he says best bcos u protect your original paint and you can use mama lemon to wash your car.

respraying the whole car electronic not to worry. only worry workmanship.. i will say what you pay is what you get. respraying the whole car requires a lot of effort.

sanding down everything then put a fresh coat of paint and finish with lacquer..

lighter colour change to dark colour easy, dark change to light colour difficult bcos they need to sand down every bit of the paint.

just like painting on white paper vs black paper..

in the end its how long you intend to keep your car, are you sure this is the colour you want..

Depends on the spray. My car was sprayed by a popular workshop here and I have to say they did a great job removing engine and full spray, even the mounting block was sprayed. All was well ubtil they replaced back the battery and reverse polarity. Fried the ecu and instant Christmas tree in car console. Everything lit up and whilst they replaced everything for me, it took 1 week down time and I personally felt the car was never the sane again.
