This would indicate that an electrical interference from the alternator or the car's power circuit on the signal side of your system.

Any 2-bit installer should be able to locate the source and fix the problem or put in a capacitor to cure the whine. The capacitor can even be home-made.

Another source of the interference is usually as a result of running the signal cable very near a large electrical source or power cable. As an example, in an E39, the power cable runs from the engine alongside the driver side of the center tunnel to the battery in the back. It is advisable to lay the signal cable the other side of the car or as far away as possible from the power cable. The other alternative is to shield the entire signal circuit.

Of course a faulty equipment e.g. HU or amp may also cause this. This is easily checked by simple elimination.

It's only rite that your installer has to solve the problem.

Since your system is all hooked up, at times it' can be quite tedious to isolate the cause.

So that 2 hours might even be not enough.

It's a good practice to run the power cables on 1 side of your ride and the RCA/Speaker cables on the other side.

Sometime ICE crazy guys like me....so lau liao still dun wanna siew sua...hahahaha!

eg. my ride ICE has been "frozen" @ my installer place for nearly 1 month liao for a complete makeover for the ICE finals latter in Dec.

Looks like it will take another few more weeks before final installations done, then follow by weeks of tuning.

Meanwhile I m not so lucky to have a 2nd ride to bring me around.

NB has to bring wife & son out over weekends on bus, mrt, walk, swim, crawl all over town....wakakakka! :wifstupid:

Ya la, i went there twice, give me crap like today busy,can come another day. Yesterdat when we had lunch at Serangoon Gdn, also sent there again than same crap la.....

Had make appointment this time, hope no more crap.

Taxi arh??? 35% of meter charge on peak hour, fuel surcharge, ERP, see meter jumping, sekali can die of heart attack. :death:

Taxi ride from Harbor Front to my house in Pasir Ris used to be around <$18.00 before all the smlc new charges.

Now I've to pay >S$28.00 during peak hours and I made these $28.00 trip x 16 times a month even when my ride is around.

Return ferry ticket to Pleasure Island used to be

Lucky thing grandfather or Ah Kong is picking up the tab......hahahaha! ;D

The labor is nearly non-existence cos it's a joint project with U know who lah!

The additional hardware which includes a specially designed amp by the manufacturer

and some other stuff cums at a very very special price. (U can say partially "sponsored" by the manufacturer) :yumyum: :yumyum: :yumyum:

However the end story is that U are rite abt. the huge diff. bet. taxi bill and the ICE bill....hahahaha! :death::wifstupid: :banghead: :banghead:
