My Kleemann Pullery belt broke after 2 weeks

When I just install the Kleemann kit, I did ask around how long or when should I change the Kleemann Pullery belt,

and the ans is dont know, as it will last very very long.

But when I start my engine and start to drive off at around 10-20km/hr.

Theres a snap sound from the engine compartment, and then my power steering is lost and then my Alternator warning is flashing.

Immediately I knew that the Pullery belt has broke.

Lucky I was not travelling at high speed or there will be very serious accident.

Heres the photos.

The LEFT one is a NEW belt thats going to use , The RIGHT one is the one that had BROKE.

Just look closer, the new is soso Thick and it still broke just after 2 weeks.

U must be asking why and how did it happen?

I do not know too, but mbm did mention about maybe maybe the Pullery was not installed properly ,

and the belt was constantly brushing on the corner of the Pullery and the wear and tear cost it to break

did u go back to the place u change and have u change the belt?????

I can also consider myself abit lucky. cos I went to MBM on the day when they states that the Kleemann guys will be there on the 2nd afternoon.

But they decided not to come, and so I left. After I start to move off about 500 meters later the belt snap.

O Man , the steering wheel is really really heavy (I have drove big lorry without power steeling and the lorry are easier to drive)

I had a hard time steering the wheels and drove slowly back to MBM, and got the Belt change.

like to hijack this topic to include some information on alternator clutch pulley issue that i encountered:

by the time my car got to the workshop, i was informed that i need to replaced the entire alternator instead of the alternator pulley. total damage is $760 inclusive of the fan-belt. if only i had visit the workshop earlier, i may have the option to change the pulley only. Ebay is only selling for a small amount.
