Hi guys,

Just realised that they isn't any thread about steaks.

Just thought i'd share with you guys about this place.

Its along East Coast Rd right opposite Katong Mall.

They would usually have specialty meat like Wagyu and it just depends on the grade.

Very value for money. A normal prime ribeye is only about 12 bucks. the extra cut is about $16/$18(cant quite remember)

Word of advice, don't go there between 7-8.30 coz the place is PACKED!!

This place is even better tasting than Botak Jones and even more value for money ah..

Bugger now that you've posted, my mouth salivating for a good steak man. Friends have been telling me about Astons' for awhile now and you've just cemented my decision to go down and wallop hehe.

To add to the steak recommendation - I suggest you try Valentino's Bistecca ala Fiorentina. Comes on a wooden platter resting on a bed of fresh arugula leaves. The meat is grilled to perfection - medium rare, soft and tasty....

but if ur seriously a fan of the meat, should definitely try out their Wagyu beef..

and dont be tempted by all the other things on the menu, go straight for the wagyu..

The other steak[value for money] is the one at serangoon gardens. Coffee shop near the prata stall, adjacent to the ex-bus interchange.

I always see long queue everytime I pass by. I had tried their burger at $12...big enough for 2 to share.

Wonder can we book the whole place for SGMERC to whack the steak.

But who knows, maybe the power of persuasion might work.. And of course if we say 50 ppl attending and we're planning to buy 50 sets of Wagyu beef! :asshole:

But yeah, the queue is a real :censored: ah.. but from experience, if you come after 9, should be safe, maybe only 1 or 2 ppl in line.. :la:

Just made a visit to Aston Prime today.... tried their wagyu 9 [errm not cheap hor]. It is totally out of this world. The meat is done medium rare and taste darn good. The accompanying sauce for dip is unnecessary but goes great with the greens.

Their portabello Mushroom appetizer is great. The soup are not bad but serve in size+2

For your info, 1 appetizer, 1 Soup + 1 main course is too much !!! I didnt manage finish the soup.

Personally, i don't think that its worth it to eat at Aston Prime tho..

I don't think having the bill sent to your table equals to an extra 30 percent of your bill ah..

just my 0.02 cents worth..

Mmm ok food for thought. I bought 4 pcs of wagyu (dunno wot grade lah) for $30 at kimisawa. The pieces measured roughly around the size of an ikan kurau fillet.
