Bros,

Very excited about collecting my new ride soon. Since it is my first car and from C&C, any advice what to look out for when I am doing the collection?

It seems that SE still said the car is run in already in factory but reading from the forum, bros here still think it is best to do the run in first on our own? What's the usual run in procedure like?

Appreciate all the advices. Looking forward to getting the call from my SE on the collection!!

Ooh...lastly, what is the best or recommended petrol should I go for? I have an SPC petrol kiosk just beside where I stay, thought I use that since it is convenient.

Some people advise me to go for 98 specs fuel for the first year on the car to get the engine running smoothly. Is this a myth?

Thanks for reading and the replies!

:-)

I get substantial difference in distance covered between 95 and 98 petrol. It can be up to 100km...

100km?? Can consider 98 instead 95. Confirm bor?

Congrats on getting your new car soon. It is a wonderful car and great to drive. I am sure you would enjoy it as much as I do. Petrol wise, no need to go 98, 95 will do. For the first few months, I was on Caltex because of free $500 petrol cashcard from C&C. After which I switch to SPC which gives the best value with the station card together with POSB everyday platinum mastercard.

Thank you all bros for all the tip top advices here.

Finally my ride, I get to enjoy but really stress cos worrying about driving it the 'right' way and to avoid getting unnecessary dinks during parking too.

I remember I have read some where one bro shared about how to 'run-in' the car, I know Merc said no need, but I thought to be on the safe side, why not? Not going to 'tak lok kee' just yet. hehe..Can someone share where to get that thread again ah?

kam siah cui cui!

Go read your owner manual!

IIRC there's a section on running in your ride!

Cheers

I'm a MB Whore! :)
