Looking for car audio tuning specialist.

Recommended Posts

Hi Bro

Recently I had upgrade my stock sound system with :-

(1) Focal cross-over speakers ( Front & Back )

(2) Audison AV Quattro Amp

(3) Bit One Processor

As I don't like too bassy therefore I don't have any woofer fixed on my ride.

I had send my car to have it adjusted twice but I don't think he really know

how and instead of 4 types ( A,B,C & C ) tuning setting, he did only 2 ( A & B ) and claimed

this is good enough. Anyway, my experiences with this audio shop is below expectation,

especially the boss arrogance attitude….

So I really hope to get some specialist car audio shop to tune my set-up.

Pls help….. any good car audio tuning specialist to recommend….

How your system connected?

If I not wrong, you using a single 4 channel amp to 2 set of speaker (front and back). Believe you using passive crossover for the component speakers. If so you cannot get the best out of the Bit One.

What you may need to do is get another 4 channel amp; to run the system into Active.

Roy from Dimension Audio - ‪9798 1189‬

Very friendly boss and knows his stuff. Unlike some other stuck-up shops which i had experienced if you don't get everything from them.

Hi Ody_2004

My ride set-up Audison AV Quattro amp is 4 channels.

I had already convert all the front and back speakers to active speakers by using my Audison Bit One Processor.

Therefore audio equalizer tuning is therefore important to get it right for vary usage such as contemporary , rock, classic etc….

Hi Ody-2004

Sorry let me give more details :-

Focal K2 165KRX2 Component speaker ( front )

Focal PS 165 Component speaker ( rear )

Audison AV Quattro 4-Channel X 120W

Audison Bit One Processor.

Now the Audison Bit One Processor over-ride the HU control for audio adjustment.

Therefore proper tuning is require to get best sound for my ride.

As what I predicted.. As such the Bit one cannot do much as the Passive Crossover still in the system.

You need to run Full Active.

Imho

Take out your rear speakers unless you want to run Home Theater setup.

Run front 2 or 3 way active with a 12" sub.

Cheers

Hi Bro….

Ops I am now more confused. Each front & rear set is component speakers ( 2 tweeter & 2 mid-range speakers )

So this consider as 8 speakers ?

The installer told me he had used the 4-Channels AMP to wired up my setup to active speakers.

Either he had only used the mid-range speakers only ( 4 speakers ) or he may had screw me up nicely….green horn

As you have described, your are currently on passive and not active.

Your 4 channel amp is now driving 2 sets L/R(8 speakers in all, 4 tweeters and 4 midbass) of component speakers ( front & rear).

To achieve active setup, you need make use of each 4 channel of the amp to drive each front speakers individually.

Then your bit one processor will be effective for proper active setup tuning.

Rear component speakers will be redundant unless you put in another 2 channel amp to drive it for an alternative surround sound mode.

Or can also put in a centre speaker for a alternative 5.1 surround mode.

Actual setup still depending on your own preference.

This is a 2-way active. Your Bit one will be between HU and the amp.

All the Bros comments are correct!

Imho forget abt rear speakers unless you want to run home theatre.

That you will need surround speakers, sub and with or without a centre speaker.

MS8 will have this possibility.

For your bit one, run 2 or 3 way front with a 12" sub to give you the extra lower Hz.

Happy Holidays!
