Is iPhone supported now for Internet Surfing and SMS ?

Recommended Posts

hi,

I would like to know if any one has successful hook up the iPhone to the I.C.E for internet surfing and SMS?  i understand that the current I.C.E. support only DUNS (Dial Up Networking System). And only on SingTel.

Thanks and Regards

iPhone does not have DUN function so you're still unable to have Internet connectivity on your Comand Online as DUN is required. As for SMS function, it is supported on the iPhone 5 running the latest iOS.

Mark is right about iPhone!

I use 2 phones 1 iPhone 4 + 1 iPhone 4S.

I upgraded the iPhone 4 to Note 2 - works with SMS & download BludDUN from Android Store!

Whether U like it or not Dial Up Networking is expected to be $#%k slow! - No brainer! :)

Cheers

Thank you guys for the information.  It only works with Singtel only right?  Starhub and M1 not supported right?

While not having tried the full version I did download BlueDUN Trial to my S3 LTE and successfully connected to the internet on M1. As Unker has said it is very slow - so slow that IMHO it's not worth surfing on Command. I would rather just do it on my S3 or tablet.

SMS notification with both visual display and audio read out also works fine with my S3.

i'm using iphone 5S and there is no SMS notification on the Audio 20 screen, or maybe this thread is for Comand? pls do correct me if i am wrong...

btw, i am on M1, so perhaps the Singtel only theory is right!  :phew:

Yes - my ride came with Command Online so I'm not sure about Audio20. I'm also on M1.

Tested iPhone 4S can read SMS on COMAND ONLINE.

iPhone 4 should be no problem too.

You have to set your iPhone BT Notifications to "ON"

Newer Audio 20 with the SMS function in Telephone Menu should also be able to read SMS too!

It will not show your old messages on your iPhone after you have turn on your the iPhone BT Notifications.

It will start to read your new messages!

seems like no replies from pple with Audio 20.

i already set the BT notifications to "ON" on the iPhone, also disconnected and reconnected to the MB BlueTooth. but still cannot work. i can see the SMS display on the screen (it's not greyed out) but it always say no messages.

kepeting, what do you mean by newer Audio 20?

As I've said that Audio 20 or COMAND will not display your old SMS messages on your iPhone unlike Android.

Therefore when on BT and you click SMS - It shows no messages.

Hook on your BT and get another phone to SMS your iPhone, the message will appear.

Turn off your BT and turn on again, that new message will not appear.

Older Audio 20 are likely those in the pre fl which I think may not be able to.

If still got problem, come and see me!!!! :)

Don't worry. I'm using iPhone 4S with Comand Online but also no luck. Hahaha... I've resigned myself to fate.
