Thanks guys.

Have called AA and need to be member at 210 first and battery another 250.

In the end called another guy and he quoted 225 with onsite installation (74A)

When onsite, found that previous owner mod to 100A. Lucky he have 100A battery and change on the spot in 15mins. :)

I am a newbie here ... I really need some advice. My W204's battery is likely to be flat (short distance, not driving it much etc etc) and I jump started it last evening.

It seems to be working fine now and at last service ... C&C said no issue with the battery (6 months ago)!

I am hoping someone can advice:

  1. Can C&C check if battery needs replacement? Or just a charge up with a few long drives etc etc
  2. Do I need to really return to C&C for battery replacement? They just quoted me $550 ($400 for battery and $150 for checks)

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

If urs still under warranty with Cnc then better get them to check again.

If no warranty, outside workshop should be able to check if need replacement and cheaper.

Dun be like my case battery totally dead when parked at shopping mall.

OK update with my situation ...

I sent my car back to C&C and they checked it again! This time ... they tell me that the battery cannot hold charge and maybe that it was originally the battery's fault!!!!!

So ... no choice but to change the battery at C&C. They charged me $220 for Varta battery and another approx $120 for changing the battery (labour and diagnostics to make sure that the battery was OK!

If they had just told me initially that the battery was the issue, I would have have just changed the battery and end of story!

SIGH!
