Shared the same sentiment before deciding whether or not to wrap my previous car.

However, I was pretty relieved when I peeled it off after a yr and the paint job was good as new.

Then again, your ride paint job must be original (was told conti car has thicker layer).

For those resprayed, the quality must be good otherwise when you peel off the paint is gonna to come right off!

So if one is not sure then better don't do it otherwise regret lor.

Another option is plastidip your car!

Just bought a can to experiment.

nice choice of colour! how is the sticker workmanship?

I personally think good quality sticker wrap is better choice than new paint job, especially color effects like glossy Matt finishes. Spray paint can hardly match to those sticker with overall even effects. Pricing relatively comparable for both.

In case of repair, touching up and downtime, stickering is way cheaper, easier and faster!

I might just do it after a couple of years when I'm tired with current color. Haha..

Only areas that are visible from the outside.

If you want to wrap the inner area also possible but have to pay many more blues!

no need inform LTA... only paintjobs, like u respray ur whole car in diff colour, u need to inform lta... so lta will ammend ur log card.

Roidman, I m pretty keen to do the wrapping, but little apprehensive about a few things

- easy to wash? I tend to get lazy and perhaps wash like every 4 or 5 days. Not sure bird shit will be a concern on wrap.

- have u got any nicks or dings on your doors (i hope not)from inconsiderate drivers who parked beside you, and will the wrap be torn easily exposing the original beneath?

Ez maintenance was the reason why I wrapped my ride.

I washes my car once a week and uses mama lemon detergent!

No polish required.

No issues with stain from bird droppings.

So far, touch wood, no nicks or dings coz I've always parked my ride in single lot or in isolated spot.

Even if u get the nicks just go to ah lye to push it out and then re-wrap the affected panel. Cheaper option compared to respray.
