clicking noise fl 1.6 7g

Very audible clicking noise heard after I end my journey; switch off engine and got off the car. Not sure though if the noise is always there without me realising since the car insulation is good. 

 

Checked with C&C during 15k servicing and they say it's normal. The noise had came from the exhaust as it cools down.

 

Rather crappy explaination to me. Did not happen to my pfl w204.

i think it's the single tale pipe problem... cos very visbile can see that it's wield on...the same thing happen to mi... frm the very 1st hr i get car, when i reach another place, i park i can hear liao..zzzz sibei sian... lol...  my ride c180 7-g.

Tick tick noise is indeed hot sheet metal cooling, the expanded metal is contracting.

An aircraft engine has this noise when it's shut down too. Normal la.....

I recommend bicycle. No need to pay a lot of taxes. If you need the propeller badge, just go stockist and buy some

The sound is making me go crazy. So i suppose the welded on chrome tailpipe is causing this clicking noise. Wonder will changing exhaust solve this problem.

My exhaust tip is stock, just 2 pipes sticking out and I don't get annoying ticking noise.
