Clunk sound from brakes after changing

Hi to all, i just got my very 1st Merc the C180 CGI :)

It has been 3 months and i finally decided to change my front and rear brake pads to the ATE ones. I cannot tahan the brake dust anymore!

Well i went to GoldenLink to pick the pads up and went up to get them installed at Sin Ming.

Now whenever i reverse and apply my brakes and move forward again, vice versa, theres this clunking sound due to brake pad movement from the opposite direction.

Is this normal? Is there a way to stop this sound and movement because the stock pads did not give me this problem..

Cheers!

I made the same changes but don't think I have this clunk sound. Think better for you to go back to the workshop to get it checked.

How's the condition of the rotors? If they are worn badly but is still not due for change yet, it may create some knocking with the new pads at the edge of the rotors. The mechanic should shave the pad's edge a little to fit in snugly. However, It's best to change the rotors with these new pads for maximum efficiency.

Hi, the problem seems to be fixed, the mechanic did shave off some of the sides of the pads :D

As for the rotors, im on the amg sports package, its only been 7000km :)
