clean emission rebate

Hi guys,

I'm getting my ride expected in Dec from CNC. I read that LTA is giving rebates if a car is registered from 2013 and has low carbon emissions.

I think the C180 CGI meets the low carbon emissions.

I asked my SE about this but she didn't seem to know much as the quantum has not been released yet and the rebate amount is small. (If I can get the car 2 weeks later but save $5K from rebate, I think its not small).

Any brothers with advice on this? I called the LTA as well and they said that the relevant officer will call me back within 2 days. (I will update this thread once I hear from LTA as well)

I will need to tell my SE if I want to defer the car registeration.

Your car need to register in 2013.

And your SE need to help u too. If ur ride has COE already before 2013, and your new ride is at C&C carpark, they will quickly register it n give it to u

U can find the loophole here n there to force C&C register your ride on 2nd Jan 2013 and u enjoy the 5k rebate for the c180 1.6L

Hi,

I spoke to LTA. There is a rebate for clean emissions starting Jan 2013. LTA says that you need to talk to the car dealer as how to settle the rebate, as it will be given to the owner of the car at the point of registration.

It will reduce the car's ARF but not OMV.

I've called my SE and she doesn't know the process for the rebate. I suspect that C&C might eat it. Will need to relook at the contract to find any loopholes. Regardless, I've asked for my car to be registered in Jan 2013.

Let me know what you guys are thinking. My car is probably the last batch that was going for $185,888, without the AMG kit and keyless go. It is supposed to arrive sometime in Dec, so its worth waiting a little to see if I can get the rebate.

Very comfortable. Total different feel from kompressor.

But today open coupe door, the lower edge hit the kerb. Forget door too long. Got a small small paint peeled off. Feel the heart pain for one minute. Haha

Bro are you referring to me? I am still around. How's your new coupe?

Followed up with my SE today.

She said that CNC hasn't decided on how to deal with this issue yet and a lot of customers are seeking a Jan delivery to take advantage of the rebate.

Once CNC has decided, she will let me know and I'll keep everyone informed.

My SE just called me.  She says that there is a $5K rebate if the car is registered on 2 Jan.

She says that the net benefit (after deduction from ARF) is about $2.5K.  I can't figure it out why that is the case.

Anyway, expecting my ride by 4 Jan  :D
