have been using esso all the while. recently started to change shell all because of the V-power @ 98 price promotion. find that shell seems to give better response (when i'm pumping 98).

Anyone got the same feeling?

I'm a Caltex/Shell person. Silver Techron 95 for me. My car old no need to drink Cordon Bleu :yumyum:

Having said that, I still feel Shell 95 gives me a slight edge over Caltex 95 for some reason....

The 'some reason' is the petrol station cashier right?

Aiyoh no lah the Shell station auntie cannot make it lah!!!!!!! I have never come across a cutie working in any of these stations. Caltex Holland Rd got the friendliest trans cashiers though. :love7:

I did notice a better response too after pumping V-Power during the promo and had been pumping V-Power since. Looks like Shell's promo exercise did pay off in me.

IMHO, all petrol are created equal. Any difference is purely psychological. Not sure what models u guys are driving, but for any normal road cars, any additional octane is redundant. There is difference onlly if you are driving some super charged turbo sports car (which some of you here are). For the typical C Class, E Class and other japanese sedans, it is proven beyond doubt that extrat octane does not add any performance to your car.
