Need help: Loud rattling noise from undercarriage when stopping at traffic light

Hi all,

Noise is obviously from undercarriage and so loud i can even hear it in my cabin.

My car is w204 (2008) warranty over

Anyone has similiar experience or do you have any recommendations?

Sounds bad. Better to send it in for checks immediately, could be something small like a screw loose or something more serious (exhaust system issues)

Just send to yr regular workshop & hoist it up will reveal the issue. Sometimes could be NTUC plastic bag got stuck at the bottom, why NTUC bag? Coz is hot topic now

this is actually a common issue for w204.. i used to have this problem too.. and this problem has also been discussed in this forum last time. helicopter / rattling noise. its usually the screws or the metal piece undercarriage came loose.. just have to go to workshop to tighten it hope it helps.

Metal rattling noise below usually is a loosen exhaust pipe or heat shield. Just go to workshop and do an upskirt.

Diagnosis by autospritz, engine mounting sunken and hitting on heat shield. Changed engine mounting, collecting car later. Took them only an hour to complete.
