Hi everybody need yours guy advice,i planning to upgrading my car with M271 engine,i have two option!

1)upgrading the ECU by MKB software

2)upgrading the Kleemann Kbox with pulley kits

which one is better and more powerful?

hi, most of us here has gone for option 2. for option 1, if you go for service and if the mechanic upgrade program to the ECU, the MKB remapping will be flushed away. Not sure about the power difference though as i have not made comparison.

C180K

Increase in performance to 122 kW (166 HP) at 5600 rpm, 245 Nm at 4400 rpm

C200K

Increase in performance to 140 kW (191 HP) at 5850 rpm, 265 Nm at 4700 rpm

modification:

Modified engine management system with readapt ignition map and injection map, slight boost pressure increase.

For Kleemann

Engine - 4 cyl. Power(Hp) Torque(Nm (lb-ft)) Power(Hp*) Torque(Nm (lb-ft)*)

180 1.8 Kompressor (M271) 143 220 (163) 193 275 (204)

200 1.8 Kompressor (M271) 163 240 (178) 210 300 (222)

modification:

Performance Kit contains a custom-made pulley set, high airflow filters and a K-Box.

MKB performance kits

C180K

Increase in performance to 134 kW (182 HP) at 5900 rpm, 262 Nm at 4700 rpm

modification:

adaptation of ECU, intercooler, sports air filters, thermostat, installation kit

C200K

Increase in performance to 184 kW (250 HP) at 6000 rpm, 300 Nm at 4800 rpm

modification:

engine conversion with special pistons, bigger and more effective supercharger,

manifold s/s, metal catalytic converters and complete exhaust system s/s,

adaptation of ECU, thermostat and sport air filter.

but i have one thing to ask for the MKB just remapping the ECU,but the Kleemann is changing a lot of parts does anybody try before the MKB?

You may have to queue up for used Kleemann K-Box & Pulley Kit!
